Save Our Village!

Parishioners are asked to do everything in their power to ensure that the remaining businesses established in Tarbert find it viable to continue trading. It is hoped that a shop local campaign if at all possible will be implemented as it is vital that we have the convenience of product purchase without the added burden of travel inflicted upon us. If we fail to act our most cherished citizens will find availing of the most basic necessities of daily life a cause of great concern. Somet.....

Howl Your Whist!

Beginners are now being afforded the opportunity to learn the skills of whist at Tarbert Bridewell where lessons are provided on Thursday nights. Seasoned players are also invited to come along and enjoy the game in a friendly and cosy atmosphere, play starts very Thursday night at 8:30pm. .....

Historical Society AGM – Officers Elected

Tarbert Historical and Heritage Society held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday January 26 at Tarbert Bridewell. The following officers were elected; Chairperson Patrick Lynch, Correspondence Secretary Joan Lynch, Minutes Secretary Kathleen Bunce, Treasurer Michael Houlihan, Recorder Johnny Mulvihill. Peter Langan R.I.P

It was with regret the parish of Tarbert learned of the death of Peter Langan of Banbury Oxfordshire and formerly of Chapel Street, Tarbert. Peter died on January 9, 2013 peacefully at his home in the arms of his family after a short illness bravely borne. Requiem mass took place in St. Johns Church, Banbury on January 18 followed by interment in Harwich Hill. Sympathy is extended to his wife Veronica, children, grand-children, sons in law, daughter in law, brothers, sisters, nephews, .....
