A treat on International Dawn Chorus Day

Tomorrow is International Dawn Chorus Day  (yes, it’s a thing!), and by way of a simple treat for any of our Tarbert sons and daughters living in the city, here we have a recording of our own dawn chorus on Tarbert’s Woodland Walk, recorded in 2014 by Johnny Mulvihill. So when you wake up tomorrow on this Bank holiday weekend,  just press play below and close your eyes to be transported for ten minutes to Leslie’s Wood as the birdsong.....

Used Clothes Collection

 SHANNONSIDE WOMEN’S GROUP will hold a used clothes collection on Thursday 12th May from 8am to 10am in the Church carpark.  All used ladies, gents, children’s clothes, curtains, towels, shoes and bags will be accepted. Shannonside Women’s Group will also hold a meeting Tuesday night 26th April @ 7.30pm in the Community .....

County Clean Up Day – Well done!

On behalf of Tarbert Development Association, Kerry County Council and KWD a sincere thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time and energy to clean up roads around Tarbert last Saturday week as part of County Clean Up Day. We very much appreciate the fact that a few volunteers did the litter pick on other days to ensure a cleaner environment for locals and visitors, while also creating more awareness of littering going forward. Thevolunteers picked up over 40 bags of litter and trash.....
