From testing your 5 senses in a Sensory Garden to bird watching at Tarbert Bay through a view port there are many free activities to entertain kids of all ages in Tarbert this Easter break:
• Visit a fairy trial (Leslie’s Wood)
Hidden in Leslie’s Wood is a trail home to many Tarbert fairies, follow the trail to spot all the fairy doors, the wishing well and pop in to see the fairy village. At the end of the trail you will find a Fairy Post Box to post your own messages to the fairies.
• Forge Park
Take a picnic to the Forge Park and enjoy the faces of our wood spirits
• Sensory Garden
Tarbert has its very own Sensory Garden, this garden is designed using plants and materials to stimulate our 5 senses – sight, smell, touch, taste & sound. Can you engage all 5 senses at the garden?
• Bird Watching
Tarbert Bay is a great area for bird watching and is home to many types of birds e.g. Mallards, Curlew, Willow Warbler, Cormorants. To get a closer look at these birds follow the avenue down to the Bird Hide located across from the Sensory Garden.
Children will be entertained on the swings, slides and climbing frames, for anyone over 15 try out the Fitness ZONE
