Tidy Towns

National Tidy Towns adjudication takes place between 1st June and the end of August and we are seeking the help of as many people as possible to help with the many tasks we need to undertake during the next few months. These tasks include washing, cleaning, painting, weeding, sweeping and litter control. We are arranging for a general clean-up in each area, within the speed limits, over the coming weeks and the area selected will be notified in advance. Hope yo.....

Thursday May10th 2018 – Living in Recovery – Tarbert Community Centre at 8.30pm

Irish Olympian and Silver Medallist Ken Egan, Musician Shane McVicker and singer songwriter Cathy C will be sharing their own personal and inspirational recovery stories. Eileen Foley, a local addiction counsellor will be our MC on the night. Admission is Free – Come and sit awhile with friends – There will be some music in the air also. A talk based on the book ‘From Laois to Kerry’ will be given in the Seanchai Centre in Listowel at 7-30 on Tuesday,the 17th April. It will be given by the book’s author Christopher Keane, a native of Tarbert. This talk will explore the somewhat forgotten story of the strong Kerry connection with County Laois. Bootcamp Classes

Bootcamp classes with Sinead Griffin, PT, have started back at Tarbert Community Centre. Every Tuesday from 7pm to 8pm. Classes are suited to all levels and ages. A one hour workout including body-weight exercises, cardiovascular drills, targeting core exercises and fat burning/muscle building techniques using a variety of equipment such as power bags, kettlebells, dumbbells and more. Kerry Hospice 19th Annual Sponsored Walk.

Good Friday 30 th March at 10.30am. New Route this year. Tarbert Comprehensive School to Tarbert Island. Your continued support is much needed and greatly appreciated. Operation Transformation Walk

Operation Transformation walks will start on Saturday morning the 13th at 9.30 am and on Thursday the 18th at 7.30 pm. These walks will run for the next 6 weeks with meet up at the gates to the comprehensive school. Everyone welcome. Also the well established Monday night walks continue as usual with meet up at the Bridewell at 7.30 pm.
