Congratulations to Denis Kiely, the latest winner of €100 in the Fiver Friday draw. The draw was held last evening in The Bridewell in the presence of the Monday Night Strollers Walking group. Tarbert Switches on the Christmas Lights

On Friday December 8th, Tarbert saw a full programme of Christmas-themed activites, with an extremely well-attended Ecumenical Carol Service being held in St. Brendan’s Church on the Steeple Road, whilst later on in the evening the town’s Christmas lights were switched on with great gusto. Mrs. Griffin performed the honour of throwing the switch (at a robust 93 years old!) and the kids gave a rousing rendition of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, just to add an extra special sprinkl.....

Ecumenical Carol Service & Festivities on Friday 8th December

A very special series of events is taking place on Friday December 8th in Tarbert. Firstly, there is an ecumenical Carol Service at St. Brendans Church on the Steeple Road at 7pm. Following the service, the festivities are moving to the square in Tarbert for the lighting of our Christmas tree, complete with more carols by the tree. Michelle & Andrew Woods are celebrating 5 years in business at Tarbert Post Office this Christmas. The Shannon Estuary Way needs our input this week.

In March of this year, Failte Ireland held community consultation briefings in relation to the Shannon Estuary Way. Developments to date have included: Design and Print of an A3 size tear off map (10,000 copies) that have been distributed through the Failte Ireland Tourist Offices in Limerick, Ennis & Tralee, Community Tourist Offices along the route, Visitor Information Points along the route, key attractions of scale & hotels in both Limerick and Ennis......

Walk for the Holy Souls

As we enter the traditional season of connecting with our departed loved ones and friends, all are invited to participate in a guided walk (led by Dr Declan Downey), to St Senan’s Well – one of the most ancient historic and spiritual sites in our parish – on Bank Holiday Monday, 30 October.
