Rugby Legends tour touching down in Tarbert

This Wednesday 6th September at 11.30am sees the arrival of the Rugby Legends Cycling Tour, featuring a host of great players, including legendary All Black No.8 Zinzan Brooks, who was responsible for a very famous semi-final drop goal in the 1995 World cup against England (see video below). Also on the tour you can catch former Ulster and Ireland lock Paddy Johns, who was capped 59 times for Ireland, amongst many others.

Stopping for a reception at Tarbert National School, the rugby greats will enjoy a display by the children of the school including Ireland’s Call ,The Fields of Athenry, and a special version of the Haka – As Gaeilge!

The Johnny Cronin School of dancing will also be giving an exhibition along with representation from our own Rugby stalwarts including Muirne Wall & Co. of Munster.
