The Shannon Estuary Way needs our input this week.

In March of this year, Failte Ireland held community consultation briefings in relation to the Shannon Estuary Way. Developments to date have included:

  • Design and Print of an A3 size tear off map (10,000 copies) that have been distributed through the Failte Ireland Tourist Offices in Limerick, Ennis & Tralee, Community Tourist Offices along the route, Visitor Information Points along the route, key attractions of scale & hotels in both Limerick and Ennis.
  • Appointment of RPS to develop a Navigational Strategy in terms of what is recommended as best practice to sign as necessary for the visitor and costs
  • Appointment of consultant to develop Interpretation Strategy (appointment to be made within 2 weeks)

However, critical to the development and success of this drive is identifying what are the training needs of those businesses/individuals along the route.

The link below is a very quick questionnaire for businesses & individuals to complete which will enable them to draft a training needs analysis enabling WLR to put together an appropriate training programme for delivery. – closing date for completion 1st December 2017

It is important that everyone completes the survey if they are to get an accurate reflection of where gaps exist.

Thank you.
